My Exhibition

Purpose- To entertain the audience and educate them about the history of the building. It is to celebrate the change of the Matilda building

Content- We made a short film to showcase the past and present purposes of the building. The film takes it from the industrial works and shows the transformation to the UTC media department. The old photos of the building will be contrasted to the ones of modern times.

Target Audience- Parents, School Governors, Students and Employers/Stakeholders

Design/Style- There will be catering tables at the back of the room for food and drinks for the audience. There will be a projected screen in the room which will host the presentation which should have most of the attention. There will also be a table for postcards for the audience to take away.

Location- UTC Sheffield Creative Suite

Suitability- It is a suitable space as there is enough room for a set of chairs as well as the tables. It also has a projector in the room so it contains everything needed to host the event

Legal and Ethical Considerations- The content used in the films was captured by members of the group, if not, permission was obtained to use the photo

Health and Safety- Fire extinguishers have been marked on the floor plan as well as fire exits.

Catering- We will use Taylor & Shaw, The caterers of the UTC to provide hot and cold drinks

Unit 23 Evaluation

The exhibition held was about the Matilda Building in Sheffield. The exhibition was in the form of a presentation, with visuals and music, as well as an interactive piece for people to choose their favourtie piece of art that was once in the Matilda Building. The music was fit for purpose as we chose the classic song 'Waltzing Matilda' as most of our audience would have heard the song before and will relate the title of the song to the presentation.
